Brief Description
Fused magnesia is a basic refractory raw material made by melting selected magnesia raw materials at high temperature in an electric arc furnace.
It has the following main characteristics:
1) High purity, large crystal grains, and dense structure.
2) The refractoriness of fused magnesia is as high as 2800℃, and it has excellent high temperature resistance.
3) Good thermal shock resistance.
4) It has good corrosion resistance to chemical substances such as acids and alkalis, and also has high resistance to slag erosion, which can effectively protect the furnace lining and extend the service life of the furnace body.

Application
1) Production of special refractory bricks:
Fused magnesia is used to make auxiliary refractory materials such as high-purity fused magnesia, gunning materials, and ramming materials.
It is used to make flow mouth bricks, magnesia bricks, magnesia-chrome bricks, etc., which are used in high-temperature industries such as steel, glass, and ceramics.
2) Refractory lining materials: used as linings for high-temperature kilns such as induction furnaces and arc furnaces.
3) Preparation of complex refractory products:
For example, 97 fused magnesia is widely used to prepare magnesia-carbon bricks, magnesia-alumina-carbon bricks, and partially fired magnesia complex refractory products.
