Brief Introduction
Corundum castable is a high-grade amorphous refractory material made of corundum (such as fused white corundum, alumina) as refractory aggregate, adding a variety of ultrafine powders and binders (such as calcium aluminate cement), and mixing them in proportion. Its aluminum content is usually greater than 85%, and the main crystal phase at high temperature is corundum.
Its performance characteristics usually include:high temperature strength, wear resistance and erosion resistance, good high temperature stability, chemical corrosion resistance, low thermal conductivity, and high flexural strength.

Application Of Corundum Castable
Corundum castables are widely used in many fields due to their excellent performance. The following are its main application areas:
1. Iron and steel industry: ideal choice for lining and refractory layer of blast furnaces, converters, electric furnaces and other equipment.
2. Cement industry: used for refractory layer of rotary kilns, vertical kilns and other equipment.
3. Ceramic industry: widely used in lining of ceramic kilns, tunnel kilns, roller kilns and other equipment.
4. Glass industry: used for lining of glass melting furnaces, glass fiber kilns and other equipment.
5. Metallurgical industry: such as high-temperature furnaces, converters, electric furnaces and other equipment in the process of non-ferrous metal smelting.
6. Electric power industry: used in coal mills, ash discharge pipes and other equipment in coal-fired power plants, as well as combustion chambers and flues of coal-fired power plants, garbage incinerators and other equipment.
7. Mining industry: used for wear-resistant parts of equipment such as mills, ball mills, crushers and other equipment.
In addition, corundum castables can also be combined with other refractory materials as needed to change their properties to meet the special needs of various high-temperature kilns, thermal equipment, etc.
